Chief Executive Officer
Tocarra oversees all aspects of Curriculum Masters, focusing on strategy, operations, and growth. With over 20 years of experience in education, she brings a wealth of expertise to her role. Before founding Curriculum Masters, Tocarra served as a Staff Developer and subject matter expert in science for one of the nation’s largest school districts. In this role, she led the development and implementation of NGSS-aligned science curricula for 23 underperforming Title I schools, directly impacting over 2,000 students, and designed professional development programs for more than 200 schools. These programs ameliorated teacher efficacy and student outcomes.
- Tocarra also worked as a digital curriculum developer creating NGSS-aligned digital resources for a prominent educational publishing company, improving access to high-quality science instruction. Additionally, she has over a decade of combined teaching experience in RELA, Science, and Math across Maryland, Florida, and Virginia.
- • Served as a subject matter expert for one of the largest U.S. school districts, where she spearheaded the development and implementation of science curricula for Title I schools and delivered professional development tailored to educators' needs.
- • Developed NGSS-aligned digital resources for a leading educational publishing company, enhancing access to high-quality science instruction.
- • Taught in Maryland, Florida, and Virginia, bringing over 13 years of combined teaching experience.
She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Florida A&M University and earned a magna cum laude Master of Education in Curriculum and Teaching from Howard University. Most importantly, Tocarra and her team cannot wait to help you with your customized education solutions!
